Greek Alphabet

Letters from the Greek alphabet are widely used in scientific equations and to identify physical properties. The following table lists all characters in both upper and lower case.

For best results, be sure to use a 'serif' font when displaying Greek letters, as shown in the table above. (Serif fonts use a varying stroke width and have fancy 'feet' at the extremities of characters.) When used in equations, variables represented by Greek letters should be shown in italic, and constants using a normal (non-italic) text style.
